Interpreting and translations

We will help you communicate with our school. If you’d like an interpreter for a school meeting, let us know and we will arrange one, if available.

If you don’t speak or understand English well and want to contact us, call TIS National on 131 450 and ask for an interpreter in your language. The operator will call the school and get an interpreter to help. This service is free.

For more information, listen in your language.

Visit the department’s translated documents section for important information that’s relevant for your child’s education in many languages.

Parents and Citizens’ Association (P&C)

The Tamworth High School Parents and Community Association (P&C) is a vibrant and committed group of parents and other community members who play an important role in supporting the school principal, teachers and non-teaching staff to enhance the learning outcomes and overall school experience for our children.

The key focus of our P&C is to provide a forum in which parents can articulate their needs and aspirations for their children and contribute to a developing partnership with the school.

At P&C meetings parents can raise issues, initiate ideas and keep up to date with what's going on in the school. The P&C also provides feedback to the school on matters relating to curriculum and student welfare, as well as establishing links between the school and wider community.

While fundraising is an important part of P&C activities and contributes to student welfare and much needed facilities and equipment, there are many other roles that the P&C takes on, participation in school policy, the curriculum and other educational issues; representation on panels to choose new staff; social activities; and liaising with the broader community. There are many ways to get involved and to offer assistance.

To join the P&C, please complete the Membership form and return it to the school office, bring it along to the next meeting, or email it to THSP&C@gmail.com

Save the Date

P&C meetings convene in the school library on the third Tuesday of each month during the school term at 6:30pm. We extend a warm welcome to all parents to join us for discussions and contribution during these sessions.

Your participation is valued, and we look forward to your presence at our upcoming meetings. All parents are welcome to join us for discussions.

Questions or comments?

New people are vital to the ongoing success of our P&C, and we extend an invitation to all parents to come along and contribute to this community partnership. It is well known that a school's educational and social outcomes are greatly enhanced when parents and staff work together. As parents we can make meaningful contributions to the way our children are educated.
