High potential and gifted education (HPGE)
At Tamworth High School, we are committed to maximising the growth of every student, with particular emphasis on recognising and developing high potential and gifted learners. The 4C Success Class supports high potential and gifted learners by developing talent across four domains: intellectual, creative, social-emotional and physical. The program incorporates inclusive identification, differentiation, and opportunities for growth beyond the regular curriculum.
Our world is rapidly evolving. To thrive in today’s dynamic and interconnected society, students must develop more than just academic knowledge. The 4C Program focuses on building the core capabilities of Creativity, Critical Thinking, Communication, and Collaboration—skills that align with the HPGE Policy’s goal of nurturing high potential in every student. Rather than adding to the curriculum, the 4C Program transforms how students learn. Students engage in rich, meaningful learning experiences that activate higher-order thinking, enable real-world problem solving, and foster authentic collaboration.
The 4C Success Class accepts applications from students demonstrating high potential or giftedness in any of the following domains: academic, creative arts, leadership, technology, or social-emotional insight.
